The most recent Lupus Association Queensland event was held on May 15th 2011 for World Lupus Day (10th May). The event was held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in the River Room overlooking the Brisbane river. Guests traveled from interstate as well as overseas to hear local immunologist Dr Daman Langguth speak about the latest news in lupus in Australia and around the world. 96 people attended the High Tea and listened to our youngest member, Brooke Frazer speak about her life with lupus. Brooke was then presented with a gift; a hand made teddy bear made by Eleonora Skuse, for her efforts in raising lupus awareness at her school and in the wider community.
